Special Education

Welcome Parents

Federal Programs Home Page

We would like to thank you for visiting the Special Education and Related Services website.  The resources posted on this website are to provide parents and visitors valuable information concerning not only this department, but also topics concerning your child’s education.  We hope that you find it helpful.  Tuttle Public Schools currently serves over 1700 students, and over 160 students with disabilities.  Tuttle School district serves students across a variety of services and placement options.  All of these services and placements are determined by the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team with input from you the parent and if possible, your child.  By working together as a team, children are challenged academically based on their individual levels of functioning and performance to be successful in school, the home, and the community.

If you suspect your child may have a disability, please feel free to contact the Special Services office to schedule a time to discuss your child’s need.  This website contains useful information regarding the Federal guidelines pertaining to Child Find, as well as your rights as a parent in obtaining help for a free evaluation to determine if your child is eligible for special education and related services.

If you are moving to the Tuttle Public School District and your child is on an IEP, then please contact our Special Services office.  We then can meet and discuss the implementation of your child’s IEP.  We are happy that you have selected Tuttle as the community in which to raise your family.  We look forward to meeting and serving your child’s need.

Thank you for visiting our Special Education website.
